Bringing lessons from the top conditioning coach in america to you.
Four of the guys on my college football squad in freshman year made it to the NFL. The key to athletic success for them and myself was our strength and conditioning coach, Robert dos Remedios.
“Coach Dos” was recognized as the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Professional of the Year in 2006. That is the award for the the top collegiate strength coach in the country. One of the top strength and conditioning educators in the US, he has written features on strength training for Men’s Health magazine and three books, Men's Health Power Training: Build Bigger, Stronger Muscles with through Performance-based Conditioning (2007), Power Training Vol. 2 (2009) and Cardio Strength Training: Torch Fat, Build Muscle, and Get Stronger Faster (2012).
After a great freshman season my coaches were getting inquiries about me from some amazing Division 1 university football programs as a potential junior college transfer. But then I got sick with an intestinal problem that required major surgery. By the time I got my health and fitness back, my window of opportunity to advance in football was almost completely closed so I decided to go home and pursue another dream.
After returning to Atlanta, I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the World Fitness Association. After a period of working with a few individual clients, I created Pick Your Fitness, LLC, with a goal of helping ordinary people achieve their optimal health and fitness goals while not interfering with their work schedules and lifestyles, taking into account each individual’s physical limitations.
Having been forced to focus on healthy eating the past several years due to my own experience with Crohn’s, part of my service for personal training clients is to help develop personalized healthy eating plans.
As your Certified Personal Trainer, I am always available to discuss setting up a time and place for us to begin working on that body you've always wanted. For those people who may not have the time to go to the gym or take off work I also write up meal plans and workout routines that can be done from your own home that can be emailed to you. I am a firm believer that there is always time for fitness. If everyone spent half the time they do watching tv and going out with their friends on getting fit and eating right no one would ever feel out of shape.
